ABOUT SILAS
Silas Collard
Registered Psychologist
Silas has been working as a Psychologist since March 2022 and is a registered psychologist with AHPRA. He graduated from Macquarie University with a degree in Psychology where he achieved first class honours and a degree in Cognitive Sciences. At university, Silas focused on psychological and neuroscience research.
Since this time, he has worked with children, adolescents and adults in private practice, providing assessments and therapy treatment. Silas has also been involved in the assessment of neurodivergence, such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder; Autism Spectrum Disorder; Specific Learning Disorders like Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dysgraphia; and a variety of Anxiety and Adjustment disorders. He has experiences with clients with Trauma, Neurodivergence, Depression and Anxiety as well as social difficulties like bullying, acute stress and burnout.
He utilises evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems Therapy, Schema Therapy, Parts Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). He strives to stay informed of best practice research and is passionate about a client-led approach to therapy.
In his daily life, Silas enjoys being involved in sports, building his music playlists and hanging out with friends, and is always excited to hear about other people's interests.
